Nothing survives without water, therefore any water drip can be a big deal and very expensive. Think about it, if you have a faucet that leaks once every 10 seconds, that leak is happening 24 hours a day 7 days a week. It adds up, and can severely impact water resources, as well as your bill. Water is one of the most important natural resources in the world and should be cherished.
Here are a few things that can help us all save water and money!
1. Fix leaky faucets. Even the smallest leak can have a big impact, get them fixed today.
2. Upgrade your older water fixtures to lower GPM (gallons per minute) water fixtures as older fixtures tend to use more water unnecessarily.
3. Toilets can leak inside the tank and you may not know it. To identify this you might hear water flowing in your bathroom even when you haven't flushed the toilet. If you suspect a toilet leak, have it checked out by a professional asap.
4. If you go away during the summer months it's a good idea to shut off your main water valve and set your hot water heater to vacation. (See our videos on how to do this.)
Crossroads Plumbing & Heating can repair or replace any drips, streams or gushes and can also send a Trained Technician to your home* to check all of your water fixtures to see if there are any other ways that you can help conserve earth's water resources.
